‘Naomh Ciarán of Cape Clear: Ireland’s First Saint?’ by William Casey.

The legend of Naomh Ciarán of Cape Clear claims that he brought Christianity to Ireland before St Patrick, earning him the title of ‘Ireland’s First Saint’. But, who was he and is this title justified? This lecture by local historian, William Casey, will examine what we know about the life of Naomh Ciarán and what his role in the early Irish Church might have been.

Note: Due to circumstances beyond our control, the talk on rural electrification that was originally scheduled for this date had to be postponed. We hope to reschedule this shortly.
